QC Lab Analyst

Full-time Hourly • 12-hour Night Shift • Monday to Wednesday. Responsible for testing of raw materials and finished products in the Quality Control laboratory.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conducts routine and non-routine chemistry of raw materials, in-process formulations, and final products to established specifications.
  • Utilized and operates laboratory equipment and instruments according to laboratory work instruction or laboratory procedures such as pH, conductivity, UV, KF, FTIR and titrations.
  • Ability to understand and follow Quality Control test methods or compendia methods (USP, EP, BP, JP or ACS).
  • Calculates and generates data for compliance to specifications and reports results.
  • Performs technical review of lab data forms such as water, environmental monitoring, and direct measure analysis.
  • Calibrates and maintains lab equipment.
  • Enters results and raw data for tested materials or products in Laboratory Information Management System as needed.
  • May perform investigative analysis to support investigations, complaints or instrument troubleshooting.
  • Performs Environmental Monitoring duties, which requires gowning into processing areas and collection of surface samples while in those areas.
  • Reviews for discrepancies in data.
  • Applies appropriate disposition labels to materials (accepted, rejected, etc).
  • Handles hazardous materials using all appropriate or mandatory safety PPE and safety equipment.
  • Completes documentation in a legible manner and reviews for accuracy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline with knowledge and experience in one of the following areas: Chemistry, Biology, or Microbiology.
  • 1-3 years of laboratory experience in related field.
  • Wet chemistry experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Must have applied working knowledge of various laboratory instrumentation.
  • Must be able to work independently with limited direct supervision, have demonstrated ability to follow through on multiple projects, and be goal oriented with a strong desire for achievement.
  • Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Product Supervisor

Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising production activities, coordinating workflow, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Your role involves leading and motivating production teams, optimizing production processes, and achieving production targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate production activities.
  • Plan and organize production schedules, assigning tasks and priorities to production teams.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Train and mentor production staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with production schedules, deadlines, and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Conduct regular inspections of production areas and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods, coordinating with supply chain and logistics teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and maintenance teams to resolve production-related issues and implement process improvements.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
  • Communicate production goals, expectations, and performance metrics to production teams.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement among production staff.                   

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in production supervision or manufacturing management.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, and equipment.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop production teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and standards.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing production demands and priorities.
