In January 2025, Pharmaloz was acquired by a private family ownership group with a long-term vision for the business.
Their first move was a $10 million investment in the facility: new cooking silos, a complete cooking kit overhaul, and robotic packaging automation. That investment signals exactly what kind of partner Pharmaloz intends to be going forward.
The roots of Pharmaloz go back to 1949, when Simon Candy was founded in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania as a chocolate manufacturer.
Over the following decades, the business evolved through several owners and formats before Pharmaloz was spun off in 1984 as a dedicated lozenge manufacturing company, opening its Lebanon, Pennsylvania facility in 1985.
Pharmaloz has never tried to be everything to everyone. We manufacture lozenges and nothing else.
